About the Morey Collection

A Mount Pleasant couple is donating more than $2 million worth of classic automobiles to support Northwood University and The Northwood Idea.

Michael and Dianne Morey have pledged 35 vehicles from their automotive collection in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan.

Your Tax-Deductible Gift to Northwood University is an Investment in Freedom

Milton Friedman, Nobel Prize winning economist, helped shape Northwood’s philosophy and wrote the foreword to Northwood University’s “When We Are Free.”

“We must make people understand that the basic idea of a free society is fundamentally a humane idea. It is fundamentally the idea that people as individuals have responsibilities to themselves and to one another that cannot be met by turning them over to somebody else, by electing government officials who will take money out of your pocket in order to spend it on supposedly good objectives. The responsibilities can only be met by us as individuals.”

Freedom can thrive at Northwood University. Your gift is a commitment to restore the American Dream and an investment in the growth of free enterprise.

Auction to Support the Northwood Idea

By June 30, 2023, Northwood University will liquidate The Morey Collection with Mecum Auctions in a no-reserve auction.

The Morey Collection is to be auctioned at Mecum’s Kissimmee Auction on Jan. 6, 2023.

Northwood University will utilize the cash proceeds to enhance the campus experience, create a scholarship endowment providing financial assistance to students wishing to join Northwood University, and grow Northwood University’s endowment supporting a freedom-based education.
